Seeking Professional Certified Veterinary Technician – Erie, CO
At Vista Animal Hospital, you’ll be leveraged to the max as a Credentialed Veterinary Technician.
As a formally trained and experienced Credentialed Veterinary Technician, you will work alongside our competent team members to deliver quality veterinary care consistently and proficiently.
Applicants with previous veterinary dental experience (digital x-rays, scaling/polishing, charting, etc.) strongly desired, but not required.
Successful Candidate Requirements
- Certified Veterinary Technician in good standing with the CACVT or Credentialed Veterinary Technician in good standing within another jurisdiction
- Newly graduated CVTs are welcomed to apply
- Experienced, professional non-credentialed veterinary technicians are welcomed to apply
- Self-motivated, reliable, organized, and adaptable to changes
- Life-long learner and amendable to practicing Low-Stress, Fear Free handling
- Ability to communicate with clients with empathy and concern for them as well as their pet(s)
- A high level of self-awareness along with strong communication skills
- Attention to detail, follow-through, and willingness to contribute to the success of the team in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptable in the use of veterinary software, EzyVet experience a plus
- Desire to work with team members honoring a work-life balance with a standardized work schedule; No Sundays, 1 or 2 Saturdays per month

Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Obtain patient history and vitals
- Perform venipuncture and all laboratory procedures including hematology, serology, blood chemistry, urinalysis, fecal analysis, and skin/ear cytology
- IV catheter placement and care for hospitalized or recovering surgical patients
- Administer anesthesia: induction, maintenance and recovery of surgery patients
- Assist the veterinarian in surgical procedures
